As the Anaheim Ducks are attempting to take a their organization to the next level by acquiring veteran talent to pair with the merging young core in hopes of making the playoffs in the upcoming years.
One of those veteran players that the Ducks acquired this offseason was New York Rangers forward Chris Krieder, as the two teams combined for a shocking trade back on June 12th.
However, despite the massive loss for the Rangers organization, Chris Kreider will provide an offensive boost to the Ducks lineups, along with a veteran presence and sense of leadership that they clearly need.
Cutter Gauthier Makes His Feelings Know Towards Chris Kreider Joining The Ducks
During a recent interview Cutter Gauthier made his feelings know about former New York Rangers lonest-tenured player, Chris Kreider, joining the Ducks organization. Here's what he had to say:
"Anytime you get a big player like that, it's obviously going to help your lineup," Ducks forward Cutter Gauthier said. "We're fortunate that we were able to get him with how well he's done over these handful of years with New York. Really looking forward to learning from him and playing with him as well."
The Ducks will certainly have a new look heading into the 2025-26 season, as they brought in former Rangers captain, Jacob Trouba, and even made some changes behind the bench as they hired three-time Stanley Cup winning coach Joel Quenneville.
With that being said, Chris Krieder also seems to be happy to join the Ducks organization.
"There's a ton of energy in the organization," Kreider said. "There's a really good energy and guys are very optimistic."
