Earlier on Monday morning, the New York Rangers announced several changes to their Hockey Operations Staff, and now San Jose Sharks' fans are furious as one of the new hires, Ryane Clowe, reportedly lied about resigning from the Sharks due to family issues.
On Sunday, the Sharks announced that Ryane Clowe had resigned from his position as the organizations Assistant General Manager, and not long after Clowe issued a statement on matter.
"Recently, I had to make the extremely difficult decision to resign from my position as assistant general manager with the San Jose Sharks.I truly loved being back in San Jose and working with Mike Grier and his entire team but at this point, this decision is in the best interest of my family. The franchise has an exciting future ahead and is set up to be successful for a long period of time, and I am grateful to Mike and Jonathan Becher for giving me the opportunity to return to San Jose. -RYANE CLOWE"
Unfortunately, some fans aren't happy as they wish Clowe would have been honest and openly state the real reason behind leaving the Sharks organization.
Ryane Clowe Is Quickly Called Out After Joining The New York Rangers Organization
Not long after the New York Rangers made the announcement of hiring Ryane Clowe, Shark fans were quick to call him our for lying about "family issues."
"I'm sorry but this is why when people list family reasons for leaving a job I have a hard time believing it because most of the time it's BS. Clowe lists family reasons for leaving Sharks people are concerned if everything's okay then he takes the same job in New York a day later"
However, it's important to note that Clowe never said anything about a family issue, instead he simply stated that "this decision is in the best interest of my family."
Ryane Clowe, is a former player of the New York Rangers, as he joined the organization mid way through the 2012-13 season, where he played only 12 games and tallied 8 points. Along with spending three seasons in the Rangers' hockey operations department prior to becoming Assistant General Manager with the Sharks
