Denise Richards will reportedly show footage of Aaron Phypers on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to the court amid her request to get a permanent restraining order. The star will also present texts and photos that allegedly confirm his abuse.
On July 7, Aaron filed for divorce from Denise and asked for spousal support. A few days later, Denise accused Aaron of abuse and requested a restraining order. The couple got married in September 2018.
According to Us Weekly, Denise intends to show footage of Aaron on the show as she seeks a permanent restraining order in court. She submitted an evidence list that she’s planning on using at a September 8 hearing, and she’s hoping to get a long-term restraining order against him.
Denise claims Aaron abused her during their marriage, but Aaron has adamantly denied it. The actor said she’ll show a video and transcript from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In the scene, Aaron tells Denise, “Don’t tell me what to say, or I’m going to crush [your] f***ing hand. Stop it.”
His remark, from a season 10 clip in 2020, came after Denise told him, “Baby, don’t say a f***ing word. We’re on camera.” At the reunion later that year, Andy Cohen asked Denise about the remark.
“Yeah, he was going to crush my hand,” Denise answered at the time. “I didn’t even know that either, and I played it for him, and he said, ‘I don’t even remember saying that. I don’t know why I would say that, because I’m afraid of you.’”
For the court hearing, Denise also intends to use texts and photos to back up her allegations. One photo from March 26, 2020, allegedly shows her bruise after he “pulled her off a chair by her legs.” A different photo from June 2023 allegedly shows her on a red carpet with bruises on her arm.
Denise also plans to reveal a text that she allegedly sent her mother-in-law concerning the purported abuse. A different message will allegedly show that Denise texted a third party about Aaron’s threat to drive off a cliff. A March text allegedly mentions Aaron’s guns and how he “threaten[ed] himself.” Another message allegedly shows Denise mentioning on June 13 that he “caused a problem to her implant.”
Aaron told the outlet, “[Denise] is attempting to humiliate me again, just as she did with her first ex, Charlie Sheen, six years ago today. It is the same vengeance playbook as Charlie said, ‘D and her legal posse only deal in fiction. My day in court is painfully overdue. She is behaving like a coward, and the truth will prevail.’ I, too, will be vindicated when the truth comes out.”
