Todd and Julie Chrisley were gearing up to make Charleston, South Carolina, their post-prison home after receiving a presidential pardon in May, but it looks like those plans are on hold. One local, in particular, seems thrilled: Southern Charm star Patricia Altschul. The Bravo personality recently voiced her disinterest in the Chrisleys moving into her zip code, sparking a hilariously one-sided spat with the reality TV patriarch.

Todd recently revealed to People that it seems as though the couple will be sticking around Nashville, at least, for now. When asked about their timeline for moving to South Carolina, Todd revealed that it will depend on the filming schedule for their new series, The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, plus "other projects that we're working on right now." In June, following their release from federal prison, the Chrisleys declared their intention to purchase a historic mansion to convert into a boutique hotel in the Southern state, and renovating the property would be documented for an unnamed reality series. And the Southern Charm matriarch objected to the whole plan publicly.

Patricia Altschul Wants Distance Between Her City and The Chrisleys

If her past comments are anything to go by, Altschul will be delighted that the Chrisleys' plan to move to South Carolina is paused for now. When a social media account announced the news of the Chrisley family's plans in a since-deleted post, Altschul got a little messy in the comments section, writing: "There goes the neighborhood." Where Southern Charm has always sought to show the aspirational side of wealth and decorum in the South, the Chrisleys are known to be more brash about their approach to Southern representation. Although Altschul may have turned her nose up at the thought of the Chrisleys taking over "the neighborhood," she's dealt with people who have been involved with the judicial system in the past.

Who can forget the introduction of Thomas Ravenel in the first season of Southern Charm? Ravenel first served six months as state treasurer and later 10 months in federal prison for cocaine distribution charges. Altschul and Ravenel were old friends, and she often hosted him in the early seasons of Southern Charm, but later had a falling out. While Altschul aspires to showcase the best that Southern society's wealthy elite have to offer, Ravenel and his dalliances certainly spoke volumes about "the neighborhood" long before the Chrisleys considered moving to town. The Chrisley patriarch took the criticism particularly hard, biting back at Altschul in an episode of the family's podcast, making comments about how the Southern Charm star acquired her wealth, and about her age.

For Now, The Chrisleys Are Enjoying Nashville

There is one Chrisley, at least, who is excited about the delay in relocation plans. Julie told People: "So, for me, I am absolutely loving where I live." She continued, "I can walk to restaurants and coffee shops and a gazillion different gyms." The family matriarch gushed about living near her friends, and living a low-maintenance lifestyle now that she has been released from prison. She told the press outlet that she was excited for her "new start" and "new beginning."

The couple's new series, which premiered September 1, documents the moments and days following their prison release. According to Todd, there is also a potential new renovation series on the docket, so it is obvious the reality stars are ready to hit the ground running to capitalize on public interest surrounding their release. Whether the Charleston residents are ready for the Chrisley Knows Best stars to take over the neighborhood with their cameras, time will tell.
