Brittany Cartwright has had a difficult couple of years, and much of her drama with Jax Taylor played out on season two of The Valley. Now, an insider claims that not only does she have a new boyfriend, Brandon Hanson, but he’s doing wonders for her as she continues toward her divorce being finalized. Notably, he’s also going through a divorce.
Regarding Jax, 46, it was announced in July that he would not be returning to The Valley for the show’s third season. According to reports, production on the new season of the show is scheduled to begin on September 3.
An insider spoke to PEOPLE about Brittany’s new relationship. They said the “new relationship comes at a time as they both are experiencing similar life changes.”
The person continued, “Like Brittany, he is going through a divorce, and he and his ex have been separated for the past seven months. They reconnected well after he had already been separated.”
The source went on, “The two have found comfort in each other as they’ve been navigating their respective divorces and personal life changes.” This report comes after his ex replied to a
a TikTok video about one of their date nights and claimed he was a married man.
It’s also worth noting that Kristen Doute, 42, previously confirmed that Brittany, 36, was seeing someone new. She told PEOPLE in August 2025, “She has someone in her life that’s really amazing that I am head over heels for. She’s dated people during her single years since her ex-husband [Jax Taylor], and I have not approved of them. They’ve been fine, but not wonderful. This person is very wonderful and very cool. Very family-feeling.”
Kristen added, “He’s a dad, so it makes it really easy. A lot easier and understandable.” She then said, “We’ll see,” when asked if Brittany and the new man are serious. Still, despite the new man in her life, Brittany has recently said that she’s focusing on herself and her son.
Brittany also provided an update on her plans for her home, which she shared with Jax. Per Bravo, she said on the August 22 episode of her podcast, “I am staying. She is mine. A hundred percent, this is my home.” Brittany added that she’s “still figuring out a lot of stuff with Jax’s stuff, but hopefully, whenever our divorce is finalized, that will be all taken care of.”
She went on, “But I am staying here. I do not want to move Cruz.” The Valley star also has plans to give the home a refresh, specifically with the patio and the living room.
Brittany then said, “I know a lot of people would think that it would be weird, or like, too many memories were here and stuff like that, but it’s not like that at all. You couldn’t even tell that my ex ever lived here. We’ll just say that. No photos, no nothing.”
This update comes after Jax previously wanted her to move out of the home. As for The Valley season three, it is assumed that Brittany and most of the cast members from the show’s second installment will return. It’s also heavily reported that more people from Vanderpump Rules will have full-time roles on the series.
