Former Real Housewives of New York City star Ramona Singer has had multiple controversies over the years. This is from both her time on the show and after the reboot. Now, a well-known makeup artist is revealing the time he was hired to provide glam for the reality star, and she ended up being rude.
Regarding Ramona, she appeared on RHONY from the show’s inception until its 13th season. Since then, she’s kept a fairly low profile, except for her encounter with Emma Roberts, where she mistakenly believed the actress was a fan and shooed her away instead of engaging with her.
Makeup artist Tim MacKay was on an episode of The Nerve podcast where the hosts asked him about his rudest Real Housewives encounter. He began, “Well, I’m going to say this now for the first time.” Tim then went on to tell the story, saying Ramona came in to have her makeup done, and she was chatting with Dorinda Medley about “something that was pointless that had nothing to do with whatever they were going on camera to talk about.”
According to him, “She gives me her lipstick, her lip liner, her gloss, and she just kind of chucks them in my hand and she’s like, ‘Do my lips.’ So I’m doing Ramona’s lipstick, her lip liner. While she’s talking.” He then said that he tried to ask her questions about what else she wanted done regarding her makeup.
Tim continued, “She’ll look at me and then continue talking to Dorinda. So, I’m like, ‘This is my job here to make you look good, and you’re making it very hard for me.’ And finally, when it was all done, I finished her lipstick. She’s like, ‘I want apple slices. I need apple slices.”
He went on about the former RHONY star, “So the producer runs over with apple slices. She shoves them in her mouth, completely messing up what I just did. Chewing them, spitting them in a cup, and then she puts them down by my makeup. So I walked out of the room. I’m like, ‘I’m not helping you anymore.’ ”
He added, “She was ignoring me. She was talking over me. She was rude, and as I was walking away, I heard her say, ‘He didn’t even do my lips. He didn’t even do it.’ I’m like, ‘That’s all I was trying to do for the past 25 minutes.”
“And in the meantime, Sonja’s in the background banging on a door of the bathroom saying, ‘Talent needs the bathroom. Talent needs the bathroom. Get out, whoever’s in there,'” Tim shared.
In the end, he stated that “normal celebrities don’t act like that” and cited a positive encounter he had with Mandy Moore.
