Tom Sandoval addressed Brittany Cartwright’s casting on season four of Special Forces, where he stands with her ex, Jax Taylor, and if he’d ever film on The Valley.
Last year, Tom and the rest of the Vanderpump Rules cast were replaced with younger stars. Since then, he’s appeared on several reality competition shows, including The Traitors and Special Forces.
Speaking with Decider, Tom addressed his time on Special Forces.
“It’s definitely one of the hardest things I’ve ever done,” he said. “On the season we were on, after watching it back, I’m sure you can ask all the people that were there, it was way harder than it looks. There’s so much stuff that they put you through that you don’t see on TV.”
As for Brittany joining the show for season four, Tom commented, “I didn’t speak to her about it, but I’m excited for her … I wish her the best of luck. I’m sure she probably already filmed it or whatever, but I hope she did really well. It’s really just about testing yourself.”
He then shared where he stands with Jax.
“I actually just saw Jax yesterday. We went and saw [Freakier Friday] together,” said Tom, who shared that he “laughed a lot” at the new sequel. “We’re doing good. I’m really just trying to support [him and] be a good friend to him as he tries and he gets the help that he needs. I just wish him all the best.”
Later on, Tom addressed whether he would ever pop up on The Valley amid Jax’s exit. “Well, it’s always nice to be asked to do something like that, but for right now I’m really just focusing on other aspects of my life,” he explained. “But you never know. You never know.”
Lately, Tom has been more focused on competition shows like The Traitors, in which he won back the favor of many fans after his affair with Rachel Leviss.
“[The Traitors] definitely brought back a sense of confidence,” he shared. “I just love doing shows like that. So, I’m gonna continue to do more, hopefully. Yeah, it’s a fun ride and I’m glad to see that people like watching me in those types of situations.”
Tom also recently filmed for House of Villains season three, which he called his “favorite” experience in the realm of competition shows.
When asked what’s next for Tom, he answered, “I’ve gotta think about that one … Maybe Survivor?”
