Lindsay Hubbard had a wild ride home from the US Open.
In August 2025, the ”Summer House” veteran revealed the surprising way she got home from the annual grand slam tennis championship held in Queens, New York—and it involved a star from another reality TV franchise.
Hubbard, shared the details in an Instagram post after a rare night out without her eight-month-old daughter Gemma. “Never trust a mom on a night off,” she wrote.
In her post, Hubbard shared a photo of herself seated on an electric bike outside of the Citi Field stadium in NYC. In an accompanying video clip, Hubbard, 39, was seen riding the bike down a busy New York City street in the dark.
The “Summer House” star, who wore a wide-brimmed hat for the ride, noted that she had been riding for a “very long time” and had “hit every bump in the road.” A male voice could be heard saying they were about “seven miles into the ride.”
In the caption to the video, Hubbard revealed that she had been at an Amazon US Open Event with “Bachelor” star Matt James and decided to “@citibike home” alongside him.
“Everyone at our @amazon suite voted against it. But I know Matt bikes all the time and would take great care of me, and he did,” she wrote.

In her post, Hubbard explained why she decided to embark on the long bike trek to her New York City apartment.
“The truth is, I don’t get a lot of opportunities to feel spontaneous anymore,” the new mom wrote. “I needed to know, just for a moment, that the old Lindsay (free spirited, independent, and sometimes wild) still exists somewhere inside of me.”
“Was it slightly terrifying? Yes,” Hubbard admitted. “But I was able to be the old me again, and us new moms need that sometimes. Matt was a smart man and stopped halfway through (well over an hour, no thanks to my wobbly a**) to put me in an @uber the rest of the way. I suspect it was going to get a bit sketchy after that, and I definitely already almost crashed on the curb a couple of times.”
Hubbard also thanked “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Meredith Marks for checking in with her throughout the ride to make sure she got home safely.
Lindsay Hubbard Has Known Matt James for Several Years
Hubbard’s post came after she was photographed at an Amazon promotional event at the US Open alongside “Summer House” cast members Kyle Cooke and West Wilson. “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy and “Bachelor” star James were also spotted at the event, as seen in photos posted by Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea.
Hubbard knew James before meeting up with him at the US Open. In 2021, the two appeared as virtual guests on an episode of “Watch What Happens Live.” At the time, the Bravo star praised James for handling all of the “crazy situations” on the ABC dating show “The Bachelor” with “such class.”
