Julia Lemigova was seen admitting on a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Miami that her daughters, Victoria and Emma, were “surprised” and “upset” by the news that she and wife Martina Navratilova had adopted two sons in 2024. But how do they feel today?
In a new interview, Julia, 53, offered an update on her daughter’s current feelings toward their newly expanded family while also revealing what they’ve been doing in recent months, sharing how her sons are doing at home on their Florida farm, and explaining how she and Martina, 68, keep their marriage strong.
“[They’ve] come around … I knew it was just a matter of time,” Julia explained to The Daily Dish of Victoria and Emma on August 20. “And I know I was worried a lot, but I understand why they were feeling the way they were feeling.”
During the past RHOM episode, Julia confessed that Victoria and Emma hadn’t “met [the boys] yet,” adding that the girls were “upset” with her and Martina “for not communicating enough with them about [what was] going to happen.”
“So right now, unfortunately, we are not at the best place with them,” she stated at the time.
As for what Victoria and Emma have been up to, Julia said that Victoria is working for PwC, a London-based professional services network, and on a “self-searching path.”
“She told me she wants to move to New York,” Julia shared, adding that her oldest daughter “loves traveling.”
“Emma is still in university. She’s studying. She loves fashion and, of course, skincare,” Julia continued of her youngest daughter. “She wants to work with her dad in skincare, so her career will probably be at Clarins.”
Moving on to her two young boys, Julia teased their upcoming appearances on RHOM.
“They now speak sentences,” Julia revealed. “You will see them as [season seven] goes, [as they] do more fun things. We interact more. They learn new things. They’re moving. They know how to milk the goat.”
Despite the addition of the boys to their family being a challenging one, Julia confirmed she and Martina are stronger than ever as she shared their secrets to a healthy marriage.
“You have to care for each other,” Julia said. “You have to be kind. And you always have to keep the romance going and try to never bring your work at home because that’s one of the killers of the relationship. Dinner time is dinner time. No phones, no Twitter, no nothing. Just be together and find time to have quality time.”
The Real Housewives of Miami season seven airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
