Shannon Beador is fighting back amid allegations claiming she is jealous of Gina Kirschenheiter.
Following her confrontation with Gina on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon insisted she is not jealous, but rather, she’s proud of her castmate. Then, she called out Gina for suggesting she has no friends as Noella Bergener weighed in.
“I think that quite a few of the things that Gina’s said or done have kind of, given me pause,” Shannon began on the March 17 episode of the RHOC: After Show.
According to Shannon, she’s thrilled with how far Gina’s come since her messy split from ex-husband Matt Kirschenheiter, both in regard to her confidence and in business.
“I am so proud of her for where she’s come after her divorce, where she’s come mentally and with the confidence she’s gained, physically, she looks more beautiful than she’s ever looked and she’s coming up with this business plan. So I’m very very proud of her and supportive of that,” Shannon noted.
That said, Shannon feels that Gina hasn’t maintained the humility she once had.
“I think being humble is an important part of who you should be. So I feel there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance and there are many times that I feel that Gina goes the other way,” she explained.
One particular instance of Gina going the other way, in Shannon’s opinion, was the moment in which she questioned her about the number of friends she has.
“For her turn to me and say, ‘Do you even have any friends, Shannon?’ That’s probably one of the most cruel things you could say to a person,” Shannon shared. “Do you think I rented the friends that were at my home when I invited you to parties, that I was out with when you were single and I would invite you to come out with my friends and I? I just think comments like that that are cruel to others are arrogant.”
Looking back at their encounter on Wednesday’s episode, Shannon said Gina was clearly “set off” when she explained the difference between confidence and arrogance.
“It set her off. She can’t handle somebody giving her their opinion of her actions that aren’t positive,” Shannon stated, adding that in life, people are “going to hear things [they] don’t want to hear.”
As for Noella, she was equally horrified by Gina’s mean comment about Shannon’s friend circle.
“It crosses lines and it sticks to your bones, some of these comments and the hard thing is, I think that they’re hurled out and it doesn’t mean anything for Gina. But she doesn’t understand how hurtful they can be,” Noella noted.
