Usually, when a club loses a star player like Micah Parsons, coaches and the front office hold meetings to figure out a suitable replacement and their approach for the upcoming season. Dak Prescott revealed that the Dallas Cowboys weren’t alarmed enough to organize a last-minute strategy meeting.
Cowboys resumed their practice sessions without raising much fuss about Parsons’ departure. The Cowboys got used to practicing without the 26-year-old due to his holdout.
As the trade talks intensified, Parsons limited his visits to the facility to focus on conditioning himself. The Cowboys eventually traded Micah to the Green Bay Packers.
Quarterback Dak Prescott had faith that Jerry Jones and Parsons would eventually meet in the middle to solve their differences. His hunch was proven incorrect.
I definitely didn’t think he was going to get traded. But just with the way their negotiations went down… it seemed like it got personal on their ends, so that’s why I wasn’t surprised.

Cowboys beat writer Nick Harris asked Prescott if the coaches held any special meetings to break the trade news. Prescott said they did not require any meetings.
