New York Rangers Fan Favourite Enforcer Has Reportedly Emerged As A Potential Trade Chip If Needed

New York Rangers fan favourite enforcer has reportedly just emerged as a potential trade chip for the organization if he doesn't reach a breakout in his performance throughout the 2025-26 season.Matt Rempe

The New York Rangers regular season is set to begin on October 7th at Madison Square Garden, as they will face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins. However, with that being said the Rangers have reportedly added their fan favourite enforcer Matt Rempe as a potential trade chip.
Drury and Mike Sullivan will have to find the most optimal lineup for the Rangers, in just 15 days and that means moving on from some players, as the veteran core remains stable. The team brought in plenty of depth to bolster the lineup and enough to trade should they choose to do so.
As Mike Sullivan learns the lineup, the team will look to continue to develop a winning lineup, in order to return to their former glory of their Presidents' Trophy era in 2023-24.

Matt Rempe A Valuable Trade Chip For The New York Rangers?

Matt Rempe is a fan favorite for his old-style of play. However, the recklessness that we saw on the ice last year would land him in some trouble and would lead to him to receive an eight-game suspension after boarding Miro Heiskanen from behind.
The 23-year old enforcer has faced a ton of criticism last season. However, he made it clear that he intends to better himself and improve every aspect of his game entering the 2025-26 season, and he has done so. On Sunday we seen just how much Rempe has improved his game.
Even head coach Mike Sullivan was impressed by the way Rempe performed:
«The bench lit up when that happened.»
