Katie Maloney clapped back at Scheana Shay on Instagram after hearing that her former Vanderpump Rules castmate had accused her of reaching a “new low” amid season 10 in her recently released memoir, My Good Side.
Weeks after the book’s release, details about the shady things Scheana, 40, had written about Katie, 38, being in Mexico for her wedding to husband Brock Davies were shared on TikTok.
“Katie Maloney was on site even though she wasn’t invited to the wedding. She was upset with me as she believed I was setting up her ex, Tom Schwartz, with [Rachel “Raquel” Leviss]. Believing that she didn’t wish me well, her presence felt like a dark cloud of energy lurking around the property,” Scheana had shared, via Josh the RHONY Stan on TikTok.
According to Scheana, she understood why Katie traveled to Mexico, despite not being on the guest list.
“It was a filmed trip … she was there to guarantee her episodic paycheck at my expense,” she explained.
Although Scheana was initially fine with Katie being in Mexico, she ultimately became upset with Katie’s refusal to give up a hotel room she needed after the resort sold out.
“She refused to give it up, despite my offer to reimburse her more than market value, claiming she deserved this ‘vacation.’ Yet I didn’t deserve to go on her girls’ trip in Havasu earlier in the season and collect my day rates for that week when she was well-aware that less filming would mean less income for me and my family,” Scheana revealed. “That exclusion felt pettier than any other I’ve experienced throughout my years of filming the show, as the intent wasn’t to ostracize me from the other female cast. It was to reduce my paycheck.”
“While we might have crossed many lines over the years, messing with one’s business, their finances, was a new low among the cast,” she concluded.
Following the sharing of the clip, as seen in a screenshot shared by Bye Wig Hello Drama on Instagram, Katie responded to the dig by seemingly suggesting that she had to go to Mexico or producers wouldn’t have filmed Scheana and Brock’s nuptials.
“Lol. Deep down she has to know the truth as to why I was there. She panicked for months because they said they weren’t going to film her wedding. Trust me I would have [loved] to sit at home that week. But I’m keeping all that to myself,” Katie stated.
Vanderpump Rules is expected to return to Bravo later this year for a 12th season with an all-new cast.
