Kristen Doute is finally moving forward with wedding plans — and she’s bringing a fellow Bravolebrity along for the ride.
The star of “The Valley” confirmed that her friend Stephen McGee, who appeared in Season 1 of “Summer House,” will serve as her official wedding planner.

Doute revealed the decision to bring in McGee as her wedding planner happened organically.
“We’ve just started talking about the wedding,” Doute told People on Aug. 21. “It has been on a back burner for a really long time.”
The update comes nearly a year after Doute got engaged to Luke Broderick. The couple put wedding talks on pause in late 2024 after learning they were expecting their first child.
“I’m always at Brittany [Cartwright’s] house, and we were hanging out at Brittany’s, and our friend Stephen McGee, who is on ‘Summer House’ Season 1, he immediately just got into… It’s like all of his intuition was into my brain and my emotions. He’s like, ‘What about this place or this many people?’ And all of a sudden I’m going, ‘Stephen, you’re a freaking wedding planner. Will you be my wedding planner?’ I honestly proposed to him and he said, ‘Yes, I will.’”
Since leaving “Summer House” after Season 2, McGee has built a career in the event planning industry. According to his website, he has helped produce celebrity parties and high-profile events such as the Met Gala and the CFDA Fashion Awards.
Kristen couldn’t be happier with the choice. “Biggest weight off of my chest I’ve ever felt,” she told People. “And then I told Luke, and Luke was like, ‘Thank god.’”
Where Will Kristen Doute’s Wedding Take Place?
While details are still being finalized, Doute said she and Broderick are weighing potential venues. “I’m feeling more of a country vibe and having acres and land,” she explained. “And my whole thing is I want to make it easiest for our guests. That’s what makes me the happiest, is that they have inexpensive places to choose from… And so as much as I wanted to do an island and have a lot of people out, it feels more feasible and more us.”
With their daughter Kaia Lily arriving this past summer, Doute and Broderick are finally shifting their attention back to wedding planning. For Doute, the goal is simple: to create a celebration that feels authentic, welcoming, and true to their story as a couple.
Now, with McGee officially guiding the process, she says the stress has lifted and the excitement has taken over — leaving her more confident than ever that their big day will be everything they’ve envisioned.
