Kim Zolciak-Biermann Claims ‘RHOA’ Gave Her “Severe” PTSD: “It Was F***ing Terrible”

Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak-Biermann appears relieved to be done with the Bravo series once and for all.

The OG housewife reflected on her time on the show in the newest episode of Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets, where she and seven other celebrities — including Chet Hanks — stay in a remote getaway and challenge themselves to uncover their deepest secrets.

In a new clip shared by Us Weekly, Zolciak-Biermann told Josie Canesco and the cast, “I walked away from millions of dollars. I was eight months pregnant with my son. … It was fucking terrible.”

It looks like Zolciak-Biermann has no plans of ever returning to the show full-time.

“I have PTSD from it, like, severe,” she claimed. “There’s not enough money to ever go through what I went through, ever. … Karma comes full circle. I’ve watched it happen to people and here I am and well, where are the others — a couple of them?”

Zolciak-Biermann’s Surreal Villa co-star Macy Gray praised her for walking away from the Bravo series.

“It’s really interesting to hear that,” Gray said. “To me, it says she’s a good person because she stepped away from money and fame because she felt like it was toxic.”

Zolciak-Biermann was an original housewife on RHOA when it premiered in 2008 until she left the series in Season 5 to pursue her own reality series, Don’t Be Tardy… She has since returned to the series as a guest and friend of Shereé Whitfield, but it looks like she has no plans of returning as a full-time cast member any time soon.

But she praised the recent news that her former co-stars Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks will be returning to the show.

“I know Porsha [Williams] is back, who I love to pieces and absolutely adore her,” she said in July. “She’s hysterical. Happy for her and love that she’s back. I heard rumors Phaedra [Parks] might return, which I would be totally game for too because she’s amazing.”

She notably added, “I’ve been saying I would never return but, as I’m talking right now, I might think about it because these are two very funny and light-hearted fun people. Porsha and Phaedra might do it for me. We’ll see.”

Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
