The shooting death of Charlie Kirk stunned the world. Many well-known people from all walks of life have weighed in on the tragic death of the young husband and father of two small children. Now Vanderpump Rules alum Katie Maloney is sharing her feelings about the conservative influencer’s death. She posted her thoughts and emotions via her Instagram Story.
The controversial media personality and political activist was speaking at the campus of Utah Valley University. Charlie was there for a Turning Point USA event when he was assassinated. The gunman, at the time of this writing, has yet to be identified.
Katie Maloney shared her own take on the reaction to Charlie Kirk’s death
Against a nature-themed backdrop, Katie wrote, “We do not celebrate death. But we also do not mourn monsters. Those two things can and do coexist.” The Pump Rules alum added, “The absence of mourning does not imply the presence of celebration.” In her Instagram Story, she also shared a graphic that pointed out that there have been “at least 100 shootings at schools in 2025.”
Recently, comments made by Charlie a couple of weeks before his death about Taylor Swift are in the spotlight. Charlie criticized Taylor on his show on the Real America’s Voice network. Plus, he had some advice for the newly-engaged singer. “Submit to your husband, Taylor.” He added, “You’re not in charge.”
As a rising member of the Republican Party, the activist reportedly had a net worth of $12 million this year. He worked with the POTUS on his campaigns since he was 18 years old. “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie,” the President wrote on Truth Social at the time of his friend’s passing.
