#DramaAlert Denise Richards Confirms Heartbreaking Connection to Tragic Loss 💔😳

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Denise Richards is sharing the details of her recent surgery to correct her ruptured breast implants. Richards took to Instagram to explain to fans what she’s been going through and how she’s feeling since the procedure.

“After over a year of struggling with issues involving my implants, I finally feel healthy and confident in my body,” the “Wild Things” actor captioned the video. “I had to make the decision whether to remove them completely or replace them. Please know this is simply what felt best for me at this time.”

Richards’ video clip opens with her right before surgery, in good spirits and chatting with her surgeon Dr. Robert Cohen. She then shares several post-op updates, one from the day after surgery and another from the following week. “I’m so happy with the results,” Richards revealed.

Why Richards’ Surgery Was Necessary

In January, Richards made an appearance on “Jeff Lewis Live” and explained that she ruptured both of her implants when she was a contestant on season 3 of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.” It was a particular stunt that caused the injury. “I jumped off a bridge … and that’s when I ruptured my [breast] implants — off of that thing,” she said.

Richards subsequently left the show after the incident in order to seek medical attention. “I wanted to see a doctor, and I wanted to make sure that I was okay,” she told Entertainment Tonight at the time. She explained that she suffered from hernias, and while she was also worried about her implants, she didn’t want to mention them.

“I knew the implants, and that was something I knew I could still continue [with]. I was too embarrassed to even say anything about those,” Richards said.

Richards Felt Safe After a Recommendation From Camille Grammer

In her Instagram post, Richards praised her surgeon and shared that she felt she was in good hands since he had performed a similar surgery on “RHOBH” alum Camille Grammer.

In the caption of her post, Richards thanked Grammer for introducing her to Dr. Cohen and for sharing her own journey with fans. “It was your post that helped me, and I hope my post will do the same for others,” Richards wrote.

In January, Grammer shared via Instagram that she’d had her implants removed and was happy with the results. “I feel much better without them,” she wrote alongside a bikini pic, tagging Dr. Cohen
