Brock Davies Announces Return to Video Series 1 Month After Public Affair Apology

Scheana Shay‘s husband, Brock Davies, has broken his silence one month after publicly apologizing for having an affair early in their marriage.

On Aug. 26, the former “Vanderpump Rules” star’s husband posted to Instagram to confirm he was “back” after taking time away to reflect on his actions. In his video, Davies noted that he toyed around with a few new activities during his hiatus before realizing that his “DIY Rescue” social media series was what served his family best.

Over the past year and a half, Davies has shared home renovation videos with fans as he worked on projects around the Sherman Oaks, CA house that he shares with Shay and their daughter, Summer, 4.

The couple moved into the $2.5 million dream home in early 2024, per BravoTV.com.  Davies has since shared videos of him putting in a walkway, upgrading the kitchen with a built-in breakfast nook, creating a ”dream garage” and more, sometimes with the help of his wife and daughter.

Brock Davies Said His DIY Series Is More Than Home Renovations

In his video, Davies revealed that after he came clean about his past affair, he threw himself into new activities.

“I started playing the piano around the house, I threw myself into a few projects, and just tried to search for something that felt right,” he explained. ‘But through that process, I realized something. I was already doing what served me and my family best. I was building, creating, and sharing my content with you guys — the building content.”

“The series has always been more than DIY projects,” he added. “It’s about quality time with my family, it’s about showing my daughter those little irreplaceable memories we make together. At the time, it’s about adding real value to my family. That’s why I love it and that’s why I’m back.”

The former rugby player added that moving forward, he’s going to be “Brock the Builder.”

“Let’s get back on this journey,” Davies said. “We’re back, baby, and I cannot wait to build something amazing for you guys.”

Davies’ last home improvement project was posted on July 4 when he put up an aluminum American flag gate door in front of the house.

Brock Davies Publicly Apologized to Scheana Shay in July 2025

Davies’ social media update was posted exactly one month after he publicly apologized to Shay for having an affair when she was pregnant with their daughter in late 2020. Shay first revealed the brief affair in her 2025 memoir, “My Good Side,” after finding out about it two years prior.

Soon after, Davies posted to Instagram to say that because his life was a public one, his accountability had to be, too.  “For the last two years, we have been privately doing the hard work of rebuilding what I broke,” he wrote to fans. “You have seen me as a husband and a father, and that work will never stop. This moment is about publicly owning and taking accountability for my failures.” He also included a letter to Shay in his post.

After admitting that he “knew there would be consequences both personal and public” when he spoke out about the affair, he addedwrote to Shay, “But none of that compares to what I did to you and our young family.”
