Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas are currently facing down tax liens that add up to a whopping $3,037,255.2, according to The U.S. Sun.
Luis took out a one million dollar loan last March, and recently asked for an extension and an additional $250,000, The Sun reports.
According to an attorney that spoke with the outlet, Luis and Teresa would be faced with “a mess” if they were to divorce.
“If they divorce with no prenup, it would be a mess,” Beverly Hills attorney Adam Michael Sacks told The Sun.
The outlet noted that Sacks has no experience working with Teresa or Luis legally.
He pointed out that the couple’s lack of prenup could make matters very complicated.
“Husband and wife are 50/50 partners,” Sacks said. “If you have a debt, that could be half yours and half his.”
And Louie isn’t the only one facing financial troubles.
According to OK! Magazine, Teresa was hit with a $303,889.20 tax lien per court documentation shared to reddit.
