Brittany Cartwright's mother Sherri has revealed she has returned to the hospital for surgery after facing new complications with her kidneys.
Sherri took to her Instagram Stories from her hospital bed on Monday, where she asked fans for prayers as she endured her latest health battle.
The new development comes just four months after Sherri was released from the ICU after undergoing a life-saving operation following bladder surgery complications.

Sherri revealed she had undergone a 'partial operation' on Sunday, and will be undergoing a second one in 'about a week.'Â
'Well guys I'm back in the hospital again,' Sherri told her followers. 'This time I went septic with my kidneys. I had kidney stones, can't pass them. They did a partial operation yesterday and gonna finish the rest in about a week to let everything get cleared up before I have the rest of my surgery.
'I know one thing, this has been a hard year, definitely, on me and a lot of other people, I'm sure. So, if you all could please say a prayer for me, I really need it.'
It was just two months ago Brittany was raving about the amount of progress her mother had made after a heartwrenching stay in the ICU.Â

'She has made an amazing recovery and is doing so much better,' Brittany wrote in the caption of an Instagram post of herself with her mother, both wearing face masks.Â
Sherri was initially hospitalized for a bladder surgery, but was rushed to the hospital just days later due to complications from her initial operation.  Â
She ultimately underwent a nearly five-hour long emergency surgery. Â
'She was feeling horrible and days later she was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. Her 45 minute surgery turned into 4 1/2 hours. It was the scariest moments and a horrible time to be so far away in California,' Brittany recalled. Â

'We found out after that they had tore her bowel during her bladder surgery, they didn't notice and she had gone septic. The emergency doctors were amazing and they literally saved her life. She fought on life support for a couple days and woke up days later with no idea what had happened to her.'Â
'I flew straight to Kentucky and stayed by her side. She is so strong and has come so far from the first days I stayed with her in the hospital. This was a very scary time but she is bouncing right back!! Please keep her in your prayers as she continues to heal for her next surgery.'
