Below Deck Mediterranean's most recent season has faced major backlash due to poor performances and alleged producer interference, and it seems that next season will also see significant changes. Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 kicked off with love triangles, "burn books," and subpar performances from crew members on the yacht. Despite these challenges, the crew managed to persevere and made the best of the charter season. Captain Sandy Yawn successfully navigated her crew through a mostly prosperous charter season, despite the subpar performances of Chef Jonathan Shillingford and Bosun Iain MacLean.
Below Deck Med season 10 is currently filming, but there will be one major change when the Bravo reality show airs.
A Reddit post from Mxgrammatrain appeared to show the crew filming for Below Deck Med season 10. “I think I...spotted the below deck med production right here in Barcelona. Anyone else?” the user stated.
Instead of the Mustique, which has been the Below Deck Med yacht for the past two seasons, the crew and cameras could be seen aboard a new yacht by the name of Bravado Valletta. It’s safe to assume that some filming will take place in Spain and on a brand-new yacht, with possibly new and returning cast members.

Captain Sandy Is Returning For Below Deck Med Season 10
Captain Sandy Has Been In Damage Control Mode
Captain Sandy has faced a lot of mishaps, feuds, and criticisms regarding her crew's poor performances this season, but she will be returning for Below Deck Mediterranean season 10. A photo posted to @Bravo.lytics' Instagram Stories showed Captain Sandy standing in front of the Bravado with the caption "It begins...Season 10." As the Captain of the Mustique, she has been in damage control mode to address the online backlash and has made every effort to salvage the performance for the rest of Below Deck Med season 9.
Captain Sandy gave feedback to every crew member of the Mustique in an effort to improve their performances, but the changes didn't seem to last. She tried to guide Iain by giving him advice on how to be a better leader to the rest of his deckhand crew, but he was too stubborn to take it. Although her actions have been criticized in the past, Captain Sandy and her tough love approach have ultimately made the crew members better.
As Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 draws to a close, fans can expect possible changes in season 10. With many mistakes and a lot of drama this season, the crew and Captain Sandy can learn from these missteps and hopefully avoid them next time. Hopefully, the cast of Below Deck Med season 10 will put in the necessary hard work and the ability to have fun while also adding a little drama into the mix.
Below Deck Mediterranean airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo and is available to stream the following day on Peacock.
