Now that Bachelor In Paradise is more about winning $500,000 than getting engaged, the couples are dropping like flies. Two couples went on in the latest episode. That leaves just six couples competing for the half a million dollar cash prize: Jess Edwards and Spencer Conley; Dale Moss and Kat Izzo; Kathy Swarts and Keith Gordon; Bailey Brown and Jeremy Simon; Alexe Godin and Andrew Spencer; and Jonathon Johnson and Lea Cayanan.
Viewers didn’t get to see much of Allyshia Gupta and Sean McLaughlin until he made a play to eliminate Spencer and Jess. Instead, Allyshia and Sean left the beach together. Are they still a couple today?
Allyshia Gupta And Sean McLaughlin Leave The Beach Together
Allyshia Gupta didn’t really get a fair chance on Bachelor In Paradise. She didn’t join the beach until most of the men were already coupled up. While she had her eye on Dale Moss, he was paired up with Kat Izzo and wasn’t interested. Perhaps by default, Allyshia eventually settled on Sean McLaughlin, another late arrival.
In an effort to win the prize money, Sean started strategizing on how to get the strongest couple eliminated. Unfortunately, he pushed too hard and alienated the other contestants. It became clear that Sean and Allyshia would likely get voted off. So they chose to quit the show together instead.
“Sean and I came into Paradise looking for love. The one thing we’re not willing to compromise is our character and integrity, and to have that questioned is very difficult to hear. But we would like to make the decision to leave together on our own accord,” Allyshia announced at the rose ceremony.
Sean McLaughlin Talks Moments Fans Didn’t See
Viewers didn’t see Sean and Allyshia leaving the beach together coming. Probably because they hadn’t really seen much of Sean or Allyshia until Sean started causing drama.
Sean was a guest on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast after leaving the show.
He shared insight on his connection with Allyshia that viewers didn’t see.
“We were spending like every night sleeping in the same room together, [having] all those like meaningful moments. Even like the episode where Kim gets voted off, I had like a mini date where I’m putting a blindfold on her and feeding her chocolates and stuff like that. There’s all these like integral moments in our relationship that really built it up. You didn’t really see it at all,” Sean said on the podcast.
Bachelor In Paradise Update: Are Sean & Allyshia Still Together?
Allyshia and Sean clearly left the beach as a couple. But are they still together today? Sean seemed hopeful on the Bachelor Happy Hour Podcast. “I thought I found the most amazing person. I was incredibly excited about our relationship,” he said about pursuing a relationship with Allyshia.
But before he could spill more, Joe Amabile cut him off. “We can’t really touch on where your relationship status is now,” Joe reminded Sean.
The Bachelor In Paradise Season 10 contestants are expected to reunite for a reunion episode where the status of the various relationships will likely be revealed.
But according to Decider, there are hints out there about Sean and Allyshia’s status. The outlet reported that the Bachelor Nation stars no longer follow each other. Furthermore, she posted on Instagram about “Waiting for the man I need.”
It seems that Sean and Allyshia aren’t together now but fans will have to wait for the reunion to find out what happened.
