💣 Another messy Bravo moment… Matt Ginella just made UNBELIEVABLE claims about Slade Smiley — talking about old arrests + saying this guy is obsessed with Housewives. 😱🍷

Katie Ginella’s husband Matt Ginella threw more shade at Slade Smiley, shared what else he allegedly told him, as Matt addressed how the costar is “not a Housewife.” Slade is engaged to castmate Gretchen Rossi, but he began in season 1 as the boyfriend of Jo De La Rosa.

On the new season of the Real Housewives of Orange County, Katie claimed Gretchen Rossi alleged that Tamra Judge once drugged her. Matt then alleged that Slade called him in an attempt to get Katie to take it back. Recently, Slade denied this and accused Katie of lying.

On the Don’t Let It Stu podcast, Matt addressed the drama with Slade.

“I don’t think people are totally understanding or even putting value on Slade’s role in all of this,” said Matt. “I have been with Slade, I don’t know, let’s say it’s three times. All three times, I have heard the story about how he started Housewives, behind the gates, original cast, very involved in production.”

“I have now been sent multiple times [how] Andy had to remind him that he’s actually not a Housewife,” he went on. “In his mind, he is on his, I think, his fourth Housewife in terms of relationships. As I’ve said to Katie, ‘I love you so much. [If] this were to not work out, you know the last thing I would do is go date another Housewife. Like that’s not happening.’ [Slade]’s on his fourth.”

He then seemingly shaded Slade’s character.

“The idea that I’m in some sort of character war with a guy who was arrested for being a deadbeat dad …. I didn’t have this on my bingo card, but here we are,” said Matt. “Slade is accusing me of lying.”

Back in 2009, Slade was arrested on an outstanding warrant for civil contempt after falling behind on his child-support payments. Later, Slade blamed “enormous medical bills” for his son Grayson as the reason he fell behind on paying his child support.

Grayson would go on to sadly pass on in 2023 at the young age of 22.

In the past, Matt shared Slade’s alleged “911 text.”

“I get a 911 text from Slade. It gives me chills saying this right now. I was like, ‘What has happened to my wife?’” said Matt, on the same podcast. “These are his exact words: ‘Katie might have just sealed her own fate … She told Kiki Monique what we told you guys [about the allegations against Tamra], and now it’s getting back out to the group. This is really bad. You need to call Katie, and you essentially need to have her hold the line and say it wasn’t said.’”
